CAN I HAVE AN AMAZON WEDDING? PART ONE: THE BRIDE
So it's no secret that I am an advocate for Amazon. The convenience of having stuff delivered to my doorstep in two days, sometimes same-day, is what I need in my life. Having a toddler wears me out. After an 8 hour shift at the office I don't want to go to the store. I want to go home.
That said, after I got engaged. I began toying with the idea of having an Amazon Wedding. Yes - an Amazon wedding. You think it's possible? I DO. They sell dresses for everyone in the party. Bouquets. Tuxes for the fellas. Shoes. The decorations. The invites. The rings.
I'm part of a few weddings groups on Facebook. More importantly these are plus-size friendly groups. I've seen the struggle. Having the perfect wedding. Things not fitting or going as planned. Day-of nightmares. If this is what awaits me, then I'd rather save my energy for that and order everything to my front door as much as I possibly can.
I started with a checklist I found on Pinterest. Thank you to www.myweddingreceptionideas.com for making it easy to stay organized. This in my opinion is the best layout. It's a perfectly detailed checklist that just cut my work in half. Amen to that.
All that'd be left to secure are the venue, the photographer, the DJ, the food and cake. Alot of venues offer wedding packages that include all that. Can it really be that easy?
We shall see. How much stuff I can order online? This blog post will focus on the Bride-To-Be and her Party. Following will be a post for the Groom and his men. Can't forget the Wedding Reception. All areas covered with Amazon. Click the images for more info.
THE SAVE THE DATES:
I like that I can add any pic to the front. So the design is really in my control. You can personalize these on Amazon.
THE WEDDING GOWN, SASH & BOUQUET
I'm going to my Ma take it in and add a halter strap to it.
Come party time I cant have all those ruffles getting in the way of my dance moves. This cute little dress is my change up.
BRA , CORSET & PANTIES
MAID OF HONOR & FLOWER GIRL DRESSES
I think I spent $300 for my bridesmaid's dress for my best friends wedding. This dress, for my Maid of Honor, is less than $200. Had I more friends I'd probably have bridesmaids but that is not the case here. Keeping it light in color and on the pockets.
Can't forget the Bridal Party's gifts....
FOR MY MA:
I look at my Ma and I see a classy, elegant lady. This Mother of the Bride Gown from JINGDRESS totally fits the part and is very pretty. The price is very pretty too. I love a good bargain.
MY FLOWER GIRL
And this for my beautiful little angel. My daughter.
I'm going to leave you with the INVITATIONS. I can print these from home. It just puts more control in my hands and I like that. Stay tuned for Part 2. of this Amazon Wedding series - The Groom. The focus shifts from the Bride to the Groom and his men, the rings and so on. I can't wait. So far, so good.
