HOLIDAY TABLE SETTING
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas yesterday! This Christmas was our first in the new place and we managed to get most things in order to even host it! We had a blast. It was great spending time together with family. Life and distance gets in the way alot and we don't get to spend time with each other as much as we'd like so it was nice catching up, watching everyone open their presents. We laughed alot.
Hosting is no easy task. There's so much to do. My brother-in-law is vegan so that means we had to have two different cuisines. My mother-in-law is recovering from surgery and her diet has also been restricted somewhat. So there's alot of things to consider; alot of planning that goes into hosting. It can get to be stressful for some.
Thankfully, my fiance helps out a great deal with stuff like this. I couldn't be more grateful. It's fun doing things together too. But he's very artsy himself so he can be trusted to work alone too.
This year he really went out on the tabletop setting. It was a team effort but the centerpiece was all him. Here's what we used to achieve the whole look:
We wrapped the pot in a blue wrapping paper to match the color scheme we got going on in the living/dining room. Also threw on a few ball ornaments.
It should go without saying, but all of these goodies are available thru Amazon. I try to pick "Prime" items too so it arrives quickly.
He also sprayed the tree with spray snow . It's the little things. Chase 499-0523 Snow Blower Aerosol Spray, 16-Ounce
Then for the candles, we hot glued the plastic garland to the mini mason jars and threw in some votive candles.
Now onto the plate setting....
This set serves 4. We ordered 2 sets since we had 6 mouths to feed. This set is so dope. My accent wall is this color. Everything just meshed well.
Hands down the coolest looking set I've ever had.
These are not the cloth napkins I used. Sadly I can't locate them anywhere. These napkins here are the closest that come to the ones I have.
It's all Amazon Prime, so if you order now you can get it in time for New Year's. I'll leave you with a few more photos to get a better view of the setup.
Happy New Year's friends! May it be happy, healthy and prosperous.
