Ladies, you know that feeling you get when you look in the mirror and you're like, "I look gooooood." Well, it's been a minute for me. Having a baby, although it is a beautiful miracle, it will kill off any energy or desire to do your hair, let alone even shower. I pretty much sport a permanent bun. I used to dress up, wear makeup and do my hair. That feels like eons ago now. I just feel depleted; and understandably so. Now that can't possibly be enjoyable to be around.
My home is my sanctuary. All 800 square feet of it. It's your average NYC apartment: high rent, tiny space, noisy tenant upstairs, people park in your spot all the time. Nothing out of the ordinary city living. It can be quite charming, I know. But this is home and that's New York. You know space is at a premium here. So make do with what you have. My yard, also known as, the balcony, is my little outside nook for which I'm super grateful for. It's my peaceful spot. Somet
Being a plus-sized woman can come with its challenges. With the extra weight I find I tend to sweat more. I'm out of breathe faster. Get tired faster. I have arthritis in my knees which later turned into overall psoriatic arthritis. So my skin gets patchy and hurts. That’s just a few things going on with me. I'm going with the burger please because it's less expensive and just as yummy. We all know though eating too many fatty foods like that isn't good for yo
Have you been thinking about getting your child a cell phone? I have. I really can’t make up my mind about it, because the child I'm considering it for is a toddler. My son, who is now 19, had his first cell phone at the young age of 7-years-old. Pretty young, I know. We moved into a new neighborhood and the school bus service wasn't available because we were too close. So my son walked with other kids to school, but he had a cell phone. He'd text me every day when he got t
In New York there’s everything. All walks of life - different cultures, different styles, orientation. That’s what makes New York so unique, we embrace differences. You can be who you are. More and more I see plus-sized women celebrating their bodies on social media with zero inhibitions. This is beautiful. That's what I admire most. Big. Beautiful. Women. I am a proud Big Beautiful Woman. I love who I am and what I am about. I love what my other plus sized sisters are a
